Not In My Cloud Privacy Notice
1. What we collect. When you buy, we collect your email address, your name or business name if you give it, your plan, and your payment status. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe also collects your billing address to calculate sales tax, and the address is kept with your payment record in our Stripe account. We never see or store your full card number. To run your service, we store your DNS dashboard settings. If your setup uses your network address to recognize your traffic, we also store your public IP address or dynamic DNS name. We keep a record of your consent to automatic renewal, of the renewal reminders we send, and of any cancellation.
2. Your DNS activity. Query logging and statistics are settings on your instance, and you can turn each one on or off in your dashboard at any time. When they are off, your instance does not save the websites your devices look up. When they are on, that history is kept only with your own instance and its backups, and you choose how long your instance keeps it. Other than in routine backups of your instance, we do not view, copy, sell or share it, unless you ask us in writing to look at it for support. To answer your devices' lookups, your instance forwards them to an upstream DNS provider (AdGuard DNS, or the one you choose). That provider sees the lookups as coming from our server, under its own privacy policy. If you choose adult-site blocking, it may be set up through AdGuard Home's parental-control check. When that check is on, your instance sends AdGuard a 4-character code taken from a scrambled (hashed) form of each website name it checks, not the name itself. AdGuard states that it does not store these codes. AdGuard also sees the network address of our server when it receives them.
3. How we use it. We use your data only to set up, run, support and bill your service. We also use it to send setup, renewal-reminder and account emails, and to meet legal and tax duties. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who receives it. Stripe (payments). Proton Mail (service emails). AdGuard DNS, or the upstream DNS provider you choose (it receives your devices' lookups, as described in section 2). AdGuard also receives the short codes described in section 2 if the parental-control check is on. Cloudflare (website hosting and analytics, as described in section 10). Our own servers in the United States host your instance. We also disclose data when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it. Your instance, its settings, your network address and any query logs or statistics on it are deleted within 30 days after your service ends. Backup copies are deleted within a further 35 days. Payment, consent and cancellation records are kept for up to 8 years after your last payment, for tax and legal purposes. We keep emails with you for 2 years after your service ends.
6. Business plans. If you buy for a business, you control the instance and any query logs or statistics it keeps for your users. You are responsible for any notice or consent your employees or users must receive under the law that applies to you, including employee-monitoring notice laws. We process that data only on your instructions.
7. Children. The service is sold to adults and businesses. Parental controls are tools for the account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your choices and rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask any other privacy question, by emailing legal@aiuplyft.com. We reply within 45 days. We keep only what we must keep by law. We will not treat you differently for asking. You can cancel automatic renewal at any time at notinmycloud.com/cancel.
9. Security. Your dashboard uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. You set your own password through a single-use link. We never store or email your password.
10. Do Not Track. Our site does not use advertising trackers. We do not change how the site works in response to browser Do Not Track signals. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page-view traffic and site performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool — it does not set tracking cookies, does not build advertising profiles, and does not track visitors across other websites. To produce aggregate measurements it collects information such as the pages you view, the referring site or link that brought you to us, your approximate location (such as country), and your browser, operating system, device type, and page-performance metrics (such as load time). This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually. Cloudflare processes this information — which may include your IP address during collection — on our behalf as our service provider, and states that it does not retain visitor IP addresses or use them to fingerprint or identify individual visitors. For more information about Cloudflare's data practices, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
11. Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date. For material changes, we will email active customers before the change takes effect.
