How it works

Three steps.

1

Check your router

Make sure your router supports WireGuard tunnels for internet traffic.

2

Get notified

Use the Notify me when available button. When setup opens, we will contact you and you can choose free self-serve setup or $100 guided setup.

3

We set up your connection

Our team sets up your connection by hand, then you point your router at the tunnel.

Check your router

  1. Look in your router's settings for WireGuard, often under VPN or tunnels.
  2. The router must be able to connect as a WireGuard client and send its internet traffic through the tunnel. Check your router's manual or the maker's website.
  3. You keep your own internet connection; this add-on does not replace it.
  4. Changing router settings is your own action and can interrupt your internet. Save your current settings first so you can go back.
  5. We never ask for your router's admin password.
  6. Ask about a router model in chat or by request. Our reply is general information, not a guarantee that it will work.

Static IP via WireGuard: what to know before you request

  1. Price. $144 per year, billed once a year up front ($12 per month). Prices are in USD. Applicable taxes, if any, are added when you are billed.
  2. Setup. Setup: free if you set it up yourself, or $100 for guided setup. Guided setup is a booked remote session where we guide you step by step while you make the changes on your own router. We never ask for your router password. You choose either way; guided setup is not required. Self-serve setup has no later required fee.
  3. Router. Requires a router that supports WireGuard tunnels for internet traffic. You need your own internet connection and your own compatible router; we do not provide either. We cannot promise it will work with every router.
  4. Manual setup. We set up each connection by hand and do not state a set-up time. We confirm each order by email.
  5. What it is. Static IP via WireGuard is an add-on to your own internet connection and does not replace it. It is not a privacy or anonymity service. The tunnel passes your router's internet traffic through our server, so in technical terms we and our hosting and network providers could see connection information. The websites and services you use see your static IP address.
  6. Address and outages. Your static IP address is assigned to you while your service is active. You do not own it and cannot move it elsewhere. In limited cases, such as maintenance, an outage or a change of our network provider, the address can change. If the tunnel is down, your internet access through the router may be interrupted. We do not promise uptime or speed.
  7. Notify list, not an order. Asking to be notified does not charge you, create an order or reserve a price. Full price, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are shown before you pay.
  8. Availability. Available to customers in the United States.
  9. Trademark. WireGuard is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld. NotInMyCloud.com and AiUpLyft are not affiliated with or endorsed by the WireGuard project.
